Ed Herschler (1918-1990), was born in Lincoln County, Wyoming. He received his law degree from the University of Wyoming, and served in the Wyoming State House of Representatives from 1959-1969. Herschler was elected governor of Wyoming in 1974 and served in that role until 1987, becoming the only Wyoming governor to serve three terms.
